I watched a special, live Pokemon announcement super early this morning with

and was pleased to learn of the new Pokemon game coming out this year in October. As a fan of the series since Pokemon Yellow, it's really awesome to finally see the battling and encounter sequences all being upgraded beyond the classic pixels and sprites. (I will always hold the old style very close to my heart, but I've been hoping for a change to stir things up for a long time now. Heh, especially when you consider the advanced handhelds we now have when compared to our beloved atomic purple bricks of the past. XD)

As part of the special announcement for games Pokemon X and Pokemon Y, we got to see a quick teaser of the upcoming gameplay, animation, and (of course) the brand new starters for this generation. One of them is this little cutie here. Fennekin, the fire starter, was an instant love at first sight experience for me. I already know that this little spitfire is definitely going to stay part of my main team throughout the entire course of the new game, which is a huge rarity for me as I normally NEVER keep my starter in my main team throughout my Pokemon games. The very first starter I ever kept throughout a game was actually Oshawott. XD;

It looks like Fennekin will soon be my second. 83
