I was 
's Secret Santa in the 
group and was requested to draw their unique Mutant Acara, whose design is meant to resemble a stag. I had our group leader check in with her while I worked on this and was given the okay to really let my own style flow into this picture, enhancing more of the Mutant Acara's key details to try and really make it capture both creatures.
In the end, I'm rather satisfied with the overall outcome and certainly hope she enjoys Anew in my style as well.

As fond as I still am of Neopets, I've never been a huge fan of this genre of art.
This, however, is breathtakingly beautiful. It's a great design, of course. Your coloring style is so vivid, though, and it's a very nice, smooth composition.
This is definitely one of the times when the "random deviant" button has brought me something worth while.
